CWU-27P NOMEX FLIGHT SUITS

Designed for comfort and safety, the current Nomex Flight Suit is sewn to military specification FNS/PD 96-17 (MIL-C-83141A) as used by all U.S. flight crews. Constructed of 92% Meta Aramid, 5% Para Aramid and 3% conductive fiber fabrics, which makes this Nomex Flight Suit flame-resistant. Features a two-way zipper with pull, six main pockets, adjustable waist belt with Velcro, knife pocket on the left inseam, pencil pocket on the left sleeve and a gusseted back. Standard issue colors available for this type of Flight Suits are sage, tan, black and blue. Custom orders welcome, depending on quantity. For those interested, we also provide the two piece Nomex Flight Suit. Being made of 100% fire resistant cloth, it maintains its fire resistance even when washed. Each and every Nomex Flight suit that we sell is inspected to strict Government guidelines, to insure maximum durability.

A standard issue item, since aviators and tankers were first outfitted more than 25 years ago, Nomex Flight Suits are now being provided to a wide range of other military personnel who may be exposed to fire and flame.

Worldwide Tactical also offers a 2 Piece version of the standard CWU-27/P, for added flexibility and comfort. This has proven to be in huge demand, by Aircrew personnel, worldwide. We are very proud of the fact that our high-end 2 piece Nomex flight suit has been field-tested and approved, within the US military, by various units. Available in a range of colors.

Nomex® IIIA Flight Suits are inherently flame resistant, anti-static fiber blend manufactured exclusively by DuPont. This type of Nomex Flight suit dissipates electrical charges in the fabric, providing an added level of comfort against static. Garments made from this type of Nomex Flight Suit will not burn in the air, melt, or drip. The flame resistance of these Nomex Flight Suit is integrated into the fiber itself. Unlike chemically treated flame retardant materials like FR Cotton, the protection of Nomex® IIIA Flight Suit cannot be worn away or washed out.
